"We had 2 families and could have very easily had a 3rd family. Lots to do and great to connect with the kids without their devices. Kids played happily in the kid zone area leaving the main living area for the adults to enjoy the fireplaces and great BBQ area with absolutely stunning views."
"Had a great time with friends and families. Felt like home from the time we checked in. Kids enjoyed the property which is big and beautiful. The fire pit was the highlight — highly recommend the place and we look forward to coming back soon."
"I cannot even begin to tell how peaceful this property is. The house was very comfortable for our large group and the outdoor patio was the highlight of our stay — BBQing, hanging out, watching the birds and enjoying the stunning views all around us."
"Amazing house with everything you need and more. Highly recommend!!"

Adventure on Your Doorstep
The Mansfield and Mount Buller high country is one of Victoria's great year-round playgrounds. From quiet mornings on the river to high-octane days in the saddle, here's what's waiting just beyond the front gate.

Mountain Biking
Mount Buller is home to some of Australia's most celebrated mountain bike trails — over 100km of purpose-built single track, including the iconic Australian Alps Epic Trail and the flowy Copperhead descent. Beginners can roll the green-rated Stonefly loop, while experienced riders chase technical lines through the snow gums. Bike hire and shuttles are easy to arrange at the village.

Horse Riding
Merrijig is the spiritual home of Australian high country horsemanship — this is where the original Man from Snowy River was filmed. Local operators like Watson's Mountain Country Trail Rides and Stoneys offer everything from gentle one-hour walks suited to first-time riders and kids, to multi-day pack-horse adventures deep into the Howqua wilderness.

Dirt Biking
The state forests surrounding Merrijig and the Howqua Hills are a paradise for trail riders, with networks of legal forest roads and single track winding through eucalyptus ridges, river crossings and remote alpine huts. Bring your own bike and trailer, or join a guided tour — the property has plenty of space to park rigs and unload.

Fishing
The Delatite River runs just down the road and is stocked with brown and rainbow trout — perfect for a peaceful morning of fly or spin fishing. A short drive opens up the Howqua, Goulburn and Jamieson rivers, plus Lake Eildon for redfin, Murray cod and yellowbelly. Pack the rods; an esky of fresh trout pairs beautifully with the pizza oven back at the farm.

Hiking & Bushwalking
Walkers are spoilt for choice. Tackle the short stroll to Mount Buller's summit cairn for sweeping alpine views, follow the Klingsporn Track down to the Howqua River, or wander the historic huts of Craig's Hut and Bluff Hut. In spring and summer the wildflowers are extraordinary; in autumn the snow gums glow gold against the ridgelines.
